On Tuesday, April 10, Prime Minister Janez Janša, accompanied by the Minister of Economy mag. Andrej Vizjak and Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning Janez Podobnik, inspected a section of production at Impol. CEO of Impol Jernej Čokl introduced the guests to the company’s operation and development plans. They discussed integration of capital in the Slovenian aluminium industry, the Alureg project, which is a great development opportunity, and the relations of Slovenia to investment in Serbia and viceversa. The management of Impol also discussed this with the Minister of Finance dr. Andrej Bajuk, who visited Impol for talks the next day. In a conversation with the press dr. Andrej Bajuk stated that they are satisfied with the business successes of Impol. As in the next two years Sod and Kad are going to prepare a proposal for the sale of the government share of Talum and Impol, mag. Andrej Vizjak also said that integration of capital of the two leading companies of the Slovenian aluminium industry is not out of the question. |
