Health as a fundamental value

The health and safety of our people are our main priorities. With numerous daily activities, we are improving working conditions and reducing the risk of accidents at work. Extremely high standards are in place in the company when health and safety are concerned. We also spread awareness among our employees about healthy living and encourage a fit lifestyle. We use a comprehensive approach to training, communication, rewarding and preventive operation in the area of promoting health and safety. Management in the field of professional health and safety is based on the ISO 45000 (OHSAS 18001), which we obtained in 2000.

STATISTICS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH 2025

In 2025, Impol Slovenska Bistrica recorded an increase in the number of workplace accidents, which is why we are placing even greater focus on occupational health and safety. A total of 35 workplace accidents were recorded, representing a 25% increase compared to 2024, when 28 accidents were reported. At the Impol Group level, 70 workplace accidents were recorded in 2025, representing a 9% increase compared to 2024, when 62 accidents were reported.

The Accident Frequency Ratio (AFR), which represents the number of accidents per 200,000 hours worked, amounted to 2.97 in 2025, compared to 2.34 in 2024. The number of accidents per 1,000 employees stood at 23.4. The average duration of sick leave due to workplace accidents was 40.4 calendar days per accident, which is lower than the 2024 average for manufacturing activities, SKD C, which stood at 44.5 days. Official comparative data for 2025 had not yet been publicly released at the time of preparing this report.

Despite the increase in the number of accidents, occupational health and safety remains one of our key priority areas. No occupational diseases were recorded in the company in 2025. We continued to provide employee training, verify competence for safe work in workplaces with increased risk, and implement preventive activities. At the Group level, 770 incidents or near-miss events were reported, which is 4% fewer than in the previous year.

In 2025, we improved the procedures for verifying employees’ competence for safe work, carried out two weeks of workplace health promotion activities, and continued holding monthly meetings of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, which also includes employee representatives. Going forward, we will place even greater emphasis on prevention, risk reduction, and continuous employee awareness-raising, as occupational health and safety remains our top priority as a responsible employer.
