From September 20th till 22nd 2006, the Impol group presented its products in the biggest fair in Europe, which took place in Essen, Germany. The fair also encompassed an international conference about aluminium. In the conference two of our researchers spoke to the 240 delegates from various international institutions.

The private researchers Dr. Varužan Kevorkijan and Professor Dr. Božidar Šarler presented research and development achievements to the participants of the conference. These successes were achieved with their co-workers and we have been using them in our production. Dr. Varužan Kevorkijan spoke about the result of alloying iron with a filled alloy wire and about the project to utilise this development in areas where super light weight materials based on aluminium and magnesium would normally be used.
Professor Dr. Božidar Šarler, the researcher at the University of Nova Gorica, presented his research work, into integrated numerical process simulations in Impol’s foundry.
