In order to ensure the continuing certification of the quality, environmental compliance, and health and safety in the workplace system, internal audits are carried out in Impol throughout the year.

The auditors devote most of their time to internal evaluations of production processes. From the end of October till mid-November, 25 auditors conducted 14 internal audits of The Management of Health and Safety in the Workplace system. All documented processes were audited, including six which concerned maintenance.

On November 28th and 29th 2006, the auditors of the certification company BVQI Slovenia, Miran Gašper and Rasto Jurca, visited Impol, where they conducted a second recertification evaluation of the system for managing health and safety in the workplace as required by the standard OHSAS 18001.

In the final evaluation meeting, the BVQI auditors, Miran Gašper and Rasto Jurca, reported that in Impol the system of managing health and safety in the workplace complies with the standard OHSAS 18001. Progress is visible in all areas and includes employee awareness. No non-conformities were recorded; though there were some remarks in the form of recommendations. We have taken measures via the Gama information system concerning all these recommendations, where we have appointed persons in charge with a deadline for resolving all matters of concern.
