Impol’s operations are based upon knowledge, as technological and production processes are constantly improved by scientific, research and developmental work, and by encouraging mass-inventive activity. By 15th November this year, the Innovations committee received 111 motions from the employees’ part, which is by a fifth more than the year before.
In co-operation with organization managers, they chose the best innovations and useful propositions, whose authors are to receive Impol’s golden symbol for this year. This year, the following individuals received golden symbol Innovator of the year: Hinko Pušaver (Sections&Profiles Business Unit) He earned this year’s symbol with two innovations: together with his co-author Metka Ravnak, they improved technological process of tool heating for the 28-MN compressive line. In addition, he successfully solved the problem of transport prior to the aging process of longer profiles in the production process. Vojko Vivod and Dejan Kos (Foundry) Being in charge of preparing the cast table and cast moulds, they have considerably lowered the costs; prior to their proposal, they used 60 graphite hoops per months, while their innovation makes it possible to use only about 90 per year. Bojan Gril (Rods, Bars, and Tubes Business Unit) His useful proposal diminishes standstills on the transport-line for aluminium bars from the oven to the compression device. With expert help of Franc Janžič, he proposed placement of a new sensor in a different angle, which enables operations without standstills. His other proposal supplements information-technological programme of the press, which has increased productivity the press. Uroš Šega (Foils Business Unit) Falsely heated working cylinders caused problems and standstills in initial rolling, which lead to ejections and poor quality of foils. Uroš Šega invented better heating process for working cylinders that now enables successful initiation of rolling. He invented and suggested better parameters for defining forces between transitions for different widths and thicknesses of foils in the process of rolling. Anton Korošec (Foils Business Unit) The committee positively evaluated his useful proposal applying to better road and other signalization, which tends to direct our customers coming to the industrial zone. The other useful proposal is rationalization of unloading long steal pipes used for rolling up in the foils production – the work itself is safer and there are smaller chances of damaging products; the number of people working in this workplace, is decreased, as well. Zdenko Frešer (Infrastructure) Proposal to enable constant electricity source with a cogeneration system beside the usual electricity source for production of continuously cast ribbons. Thus, we would be able to cut the costs of every impetus of the cast machine. Bojan Kropf (Rolled Products Business Unit) His proposals offer integral solutions to certain logistic problems in the “rolling mill” programme unit, and enable better quality of our products and lower operational costs. His inventive proposal for charging inert gas oven and accomplishing anticipated quality of homogenous annealing of ten-ton rings for foil production was evaluated as highly positive. Vukašin Dragojevič (Manager of the Rods, Bars, and Tubes Business Unit ) The innovation committee grants its Impol golden symbol to the “tube” programme unit, s it estimates that this is the most successful unit in the field of innovations. All together, employees of this unit registered 40 useful proposals and innovations by November. The number of registered innovations proves that employees of this unit are aware of the fact that innovations and useful proposals can lead to higher productivity, lower costs per product and thus stronger competency is present among these employees. Manager of this unit is to be granted his fourth Impol symbol for his programme unit’s success. |
