Communication process

Constant supplying of information and a good response are the key to successful understanding and motivating of employees. In this way, we stay in contact with our employees and inform them about changes in the company. Their return information acquaints us with potential deficiencies and often leads to successful improvements.

We believe that it is very important that every employee feels that he can talk about his problems, suggestions and desires with anyone in the company. Since the area of communication and informing is very important to us, we devote it a lot of time and activities.

Informing through gazettes

The gazette Metalurg is published once every two months. This gazette informs employees about events inside the company. It is published in 1.000 copies and each employee gets one. Employees are also informed every month through the Metalurg reporter, which is published at the beginning of the month. It contains all key information about the operations of the company on two pages.

Notice board and drawers

There are 13 notice boards in the company in all units. Different short information are hanged out. Next to the notice boards are drawers for various written initiatives, questions and critics. These drawers are appropriately equipped and locked.

Annual conversation

Annual conversations are open conversations between the employer and employees and are carried out once a year. Through these conversations, we want to take a look at the key areas of a unit, in which an individual works, the key areas and tasks of the individual, results in the previous period and make arrangements for the coming period. With the help of conversations, the employer and employees get to know each other better and can thus improve their mutual relations. Annual conversations enable us to mediate the mission, visions and aims in a way that every employee understands their meaning for himself and for his unit. Conversations enable personal development and learning. They also help in the maintenance of a clear and transparent organization and its own development.

Open doors of the president of the management board

At the initiative of the workers’ council, the president of the management board decided that he will once a week (on Tuesdays) receive any employee, who wishes to speak to him respectively wants to inform or talk to him about a certain problem.

Measuring the atmosphere in the organization

The measurement is carried out every two years. The intention of the measurement is a systematic assessment of conditions and of the effects of improvements on chosen elements of the culture of the organization. Representatives of employees from individual units actively participate on quality workshops to find solutions, which would improve individual aspects of culture in their unit.

Other forms of communication

Other forms of communication comprise the use of long-term strategy, of standing orders, the regulation of the organization, the annual plan, the collective agreement of the company, a manual for safe work and a data warehouse with a system of database cubes. We also issue various brochures, publications and posters.
