Emissions into waters
Technological and cooling waters, used in impol, circulate in open cooling systems. The water is changed once per year. The process of changing is carefully monitored.
Atmospheric emissions
We carry out measurements of atmospheric emissions on all sources of air pollution at certain intervals. We report our findings in the form of reports to the Ministry of the environment, spatial planning and energy. The ministry manages a list of Industrial polluters in Slovenia. The list contains information on the type and quantities of material, which an individual industrial plant is discharging into the environment.
Waste
We have organized waste collection and storage. All dangerous waste is delivered to authorized waste removers and collectors. We were successful in lowering the number of dangerous waste. We separately collect metal scrap, wood, paper and enable their re-use or recycling.
Consumption of energy and natural resources
A long-lasting strategic task of the management board of company Impol is to decrease the specific consumption of natural resources and energy. We demand from the manufacturers that every new device provides energetically economical operations with the possibility of using waste warmth.

Some projects for the lowering of the consumption of natural gas have already been concluded:
- Utilization of oxidation burners,
- Utilization of regenerative burners,
- Utilization of waste warmth for the warming of production premises in winter,
- Utilization of waste warmth from smoke gas for pre-heating raw materials.
